Aims and Scope
This Symposium is devoted to the study of a very interesting period in the History of Science: The Romantic years, a denomination encompassing a large number of tendencies in Literature, Painting, Music, Philosophy… and Science, dated roughly from 1775 to 1850. In the Symposium the relationship between Science and Romantic Culture and Life will be highlighted, focusing on those problems and aspects that had a major impact on the scientific developments leading to contemporary Science.

Symposium Development and Schedule The sessions of RS2002 will be held at the Casa de la Cultura de Maspalomas, in Maspalomas, the Beach Area of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in the South of Gran Canaria, were the world renowned beaches of Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés can be found.
RS2002 is organized as follows:
